Position Overview:
The position is a seasonal (April - November) full time position. This position directs the activities of a team of two or more in landscaping. They are responsible for a variety of job tasks in the completion of landscape projects (hardscape and softscape), including but not limited to brick pavers, stone, retaining walls, pillars, vertical features, plant installation, sodding, seeding, pruning, trimming, weeding and fertilizing.

Work Conditions:
Ability to work with hand tools, small engine equipment, and materials
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 80 pounds

Excellent stamina is required
Work near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum 5+ years of experience in professional landscaping
Must include references for the following experience:
Plant knowledge and identification, and experience in plant care
Knowledgeable with experience in landscapes, hardscapes/brick pavers, drainage and grading, irrigation and lighting
Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner
Competent in the use of power tools (chainsaws, pruners, sod cutters, sprayers, rototillers, lawn mowers, line trimmers, etc.)
Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
Ability to follow safe working procedures
Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team
Must possess a valid chauffeur’s driver’s license and medical card prior to date of hire
Wage Range:
Based on education, certifications, and experience.
