Our fertilization technician keeps busy by applying crab grass preventer and weed and feed to lawns throughout the thumb. Spring is the best time to get your place ready for summer.
Summer
In the summertime, our maintenance division is busy maintaining lawns and keeping up with excess growth of your plants and shrubs. You will find our personal gardeners dropping by making sure your landscape is nice and tidy. We will also continue our fertilization program and take on landscape enhancement to refresh your landscaping.
Fall
In the fall, our team help get your lawn and landscape beds ready for winter. This includes doing any last minute pruning and leaf removal. We offer a fall fertilizer for your lawn that will help stimulate early spring green color while improving your turfs root system. Aeration keeps your lawn healthy by relieving compaction from foot traffic. Compaction from foot traffic leads to a thin, poorly-draining lawn. Though you can aerate anytime spring through fall, aerating in the fall works well because we can overseed and apply a fall fertilizer high in phosphorus that will support root growth.
Insects are an integral part of healthy lawns and landscapes, and very few (typically less than 1%) are damaging in your backyard. If you happen to notice an increasing amount of ant hills or ants, no worries! The skilled team at Esch Landscaping can help carefully take care of them so there is no further damage.
The term brush hog comes from the first rotary cutting or rough cut mower, and originated with the company that invented it. The brand name is used to describe a type of mowing that uses heavy-duty mowing to clear overgrown land that’s relatively clear and not strewn with large rocks or tree stumps. Brush hogging can chew up tall weeds, brush, and saplings up to 1 inch in diameter.
