In the cold or off season, mulching can not only help preserve an adequate amount of moisture level for your plants it can also serve as an insulator and protect your plants. Mulching creates a barrier against harsh winter conditions including winds and drastic changes in temperature. In the spring and summer months mulch can reduce weed growth while also helping them to maintain a proper level of moisture.

Our mulching process includes:
Re-freshening your mulch by adding new to the existing mulch, or if deemed necessary, we would remove the existing material in the bed and replace with new mulch. Typically, a 3” layer of mulch preferred.
Grade is established to ensure plant health.
A natural edge will be established.
Proper drainage will be achieved.
The bed will receive a pre-emergent to help reduce the undesired plant growth.
