Accountant

Position Overview
Currently, our team is seeking an experienced and qualified candidate to fill the role of Accountant within our administrative team. The Accountant is a year-round, full-time position and reports directly to the General Manager. This individual must possess the following characteristics and skills:

Key ResponsibilitieS
Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for the General Manager (financial statements, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flow projections)
Data Entry for multiple service lines, including, but not limited to: o Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and credit cards
Accounts Receivable: invoices and customer payments
Time sheets with job costing
Material and equipment used on job sites
Manage vendor relations, subcontractor agreements, contractor insurance and W-9 forms
Manage and follow-up on past due client accounts
Review and reconcile customer invoicing and accounts receivable at month-end
Manage and monitor the vehicle and equipment log, registration, and insurance
Assist with on-boarding new hires and preparation of payroll deductions
Assist the General Manager with other required monthly, quarterly, or annual filings
Qualifications
Minimum of 5-year experience in a similar role. Experience in a professional service environment required.
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is preferred.
Have an understanding of accounting, debit/credits, accounts payable, accounts receivable.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and extreme discretion.
Strong office and interpersonal skills and adaptive intellect.
Ability to understand problems, ask the right questions, think critically, and identify solutions.
Thorough proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and QuickBooks.
Must be able to create and maintain a well-organized filing system.
