Position Overview
The position is a seasonal, full-time position (April – November), with the possibility of snow plowing, landscaping, equipment maintenance or lay off during the winter months. The Irrigation Tech Assistant assists in the construction and maintenance of automatic irrigation systems, garden ponds, low-voltage lighting, and installation of pumps for waterfalls. He or she would report to a team leader and perform duties as assigned by the team leader. He or she is also responsible for a variety of job tasks in the completion of landscape projects, including, but not limited to paved areas, driveways, retaining walls, or any other landscapes composed of hard wearing materials, such as stone or concrete.

Minimum Requirements
Competent in the use of power tools (chainsaws, pruners, sod cutters, sprayers, rototillers, lawn mowers, line trimmers, etc.)
Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner
Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
Must possess a valid driver’s license (and able to attain a chauffeurs license and medical card)
Ability to follow safe working procedures
Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team

Based on education and experience.
